And that's where these Chocolate Coconut Collagen Cookies enter the picture. But what makes this collagen cookies recipe healthy, and what is it like baking with collagen powder? Let’s take a closer look at what makes these collagen cookies a win for both taste and health!
Benefits of Collagen Cookies
So, what does collagen do in baking? I included a healthy serving of OMI WellBeauty Collagen in these collagen cookies to support glowing skin and healthy hair and nails from the inside-out. Remember, collagen is the most abundant protein in your body and the glue that makes your skin strong yet elastic. Simply put, it’s what makes your skin look vibrant and youthful.
Now, your collagen naturally decreases about 1 percent each year beginning in your 20s. But because studies have shown that collagen supplementation can reduce the appearance of skin wrinkles in as little as 8 weeks, it’s important to consume collagen on a regular basis. That’s why using recipes with collagen can be so beneficial to the health of your skin. Plus, collagen has been shown to also support bone and joint health, gut health, and even brain health!
Additionally, these delicious cookies provide just the right balance of natural sweetness to satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth and rich, MCT-filled coconut oil to help you stay in fat-burning mode—making these collagen cookies keto friendly and also a great addition to almost any diet.
